It's Scala ;)

They our from our country and the only people who don't know them over here are babies and very very old people. Personally, I think they should break the formula and get some tenors in there, possibly a bass too!

Well I think this song's great. It feels right and it sounds right. The only point of critcism I have, and it's really nothing, is that it could use some (more) percussive elements here and there. But that's just me, I like everything better with drugs. Drums, omg, what am I like! I get a wave like sensation from the melody without the drums though, like you're being lifted and put down ,over and over again until the storm dies out. I really enjoy what you did there.

I wonder what you mean with Playstation 1-esque? Do you mean like it sounds as if it's made with Music 2000? If so I strongly disagree hehe

Troisnyx responds:

By PlayStation 1-esque, I mean very remeniscent of solid music that has made history for the PS1: Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, Suikoden, Bust-a-Move... the aesthetic is very similar to tracks from those games.

I thought of pounding the bodhrán to this song... get timpani mallets, or drumsticks covered in cloth or summat, and just beat it in time to the music. Then I thought, I wasn't sure about it. At the moment the only drums I have in this piece are subtle timpani nuances, because one, I'm a timpanist as well, and two, I didn't want it to overpower the other instruments I had. It's a tough one, finding the right balance....

Thanks for the lovely review by the way. And I'll remember for future reference that it's Scala. ^_^ Glad you liked it!

One can never have enough polka!

It's mostjy fun but at times it get's creepy. Nice

Nice oldschool trancevibe, but it's not quite finished and possibly could use some mastering(youtube has good tuts)

just my 2 cents :)

KennyChu responds:

Thanks for the response. Yeah it still needs to be worked on.

Don't know why you get such low scores, this was pretty damn good. And the sound was top notch.

Good job I say :)

DjYeoh responds:

Hahaha! Appreciate it man!

really cool blend of electronics and metal. the melodic guitar around 1:30 is really sweet, the electronic break mixed with the meshuggah-ish riffs after that is awesome. the synth break at 2:50 unfolds itself greatly, only it feels a bit pasted in perhaps,i'm not sure yet :)

my 2 cents!

kernjh responds:

thanks for the feedback.....im not sure what you mean by "pasted in", i would like to know though if you can clarify. im always looking to improve the listening expierience to the music i do.

all the tracks were played through from beginning to end on each part. the keyboards and synth stuff is obviously programmed, and the drums were done on an electric kit. that break at the 2:50 mark is a combination of different effects on the guitar. i was able to achieve them all through pod farm.

Imho the transition from dupstep to trance was a bit crude, the one back to dupstep was alright! Your strings and leads sound really good. I enjoyed it!

I listened to it about 10 times in a row,it loops great! Pure piana music bores me quite fast,to this i could listen all day long!

guildassasan responds:

thanks a tun, i really appreciate the review! ^ -^

I loved the first two minutes, really good stuff, sweet sweet melody, but the ending felt a bit like another track was pasted onto it.

But ya got balls and i respect that! :D

SWeissenP responds:

Thanks for your comment! I have been thinking of a way to make it sound better with the ending part, I hope you will like it more when it's finished!

Thanks anyways!

Epic melancholic track, the synth melody really sticks! The plucks at the end are a great touch!

Jgeenen responds:

Flammazine/harry gagger is king! Thanks mate :)

I don't think the first part is boring,it ads to the tension, if the first part was as 'busy' as the second it would be too busy for my ears, hope that makes sense!

good job,but i would say this is trance instead of house

Mea-Anima responds:

I see where you come from. I also felt a lot more tenstion at the last part of the melody with this version because the rest was so dull. But after a few times listening it really gets on my nerves that the rest is so awfully boring so I did this.

The BPM is currently 128, which is in no-chance eligible to be a Trance track.
It has house chords below it, house percussion, only the melody is not your everyday house.
At best it can be heared as progressive trance by now, which will absolutely change once I finish my intro.

Thanks for the response,
PotencY.
